Co Meathā€™s Elizabeth Power was in unstoppable form at Tattersalls Ward Union Horse Show over the weekend, claiming victory in Sundayā€™s TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series, just 24 hours after also coming out on top in The Underwriting Exchange Grand Prix at the same venue.

Both of Powerā€™s victories came with her own 18-year-old Irish Sport Horse Doonaveeragh O One (pictured above). The TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series at Tattersalls saw nine combinations jump clear in the opening round. The jump-off saw Power and Doonaveeragh O One post a second clear in 45.39 seconds which would see them finish almost four seconds faster than runner-up Dermott Lennon with Gelvins Touch (49.37). Jessica Burke took third place with Express Trend in a time of 51.50, while Tholm Keane and BMH Big Time maintained their good recent form to finish fourth in 51.57. All of the top five finishers jumped double clear rounds including Paul Beecher who took fifth spot with Ikona VT Recht Eind (54.31), while Tim Mac Donagh finished sixth with Hollypark Galloway with one fence down in 48.40.

Maryville in Co Cork will host the penultimate round of the TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series this Sunday July 28th before the final leg takes place at the Irish Breeders Class on August 31st.
