He’s a horse that needs no introduction. Grand Slam Winner American Pharoah captured the hearts and imaginations of racegoers worldwide as he proceeded to win the Triple Crown of American Racing, the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Derby, the 12th horse in American history to do so. He confirmed his already superstar status by winning the Breeders Cup Classic in record time and claiming the title of Grand Slam Winner.

American Pharoah was trained by Bob Baffert and for most of his rides ridden by Victor Espinoza. His ownersĀ Zayat Stables sold breeding rights to Coolmore’s Ashford Farm where he will stand in 2016.
American Pharoah began his career at Vinery Stud (now Haras Don Alberto Farm) and Farm Manager Frances Relihan had the pleasure of caring forĀ him from a young age.

As Farm Manager, attention to detail is vitally important when it comes to raising future stars. I have used Calphormin for many years as part of my program when managing the growth and developmentĀ of young thoroughbreds. AMERICAN PHAROAH, like all weanlings and yearlings under my care was supplemented with Calphormin during his time at Vinery.Ā
