Robert Power Round Twelve of the Horseware/TRM National Grand Prix League took place today at Bannow & Rathangan with a prize fund of €4,000.
 
National Hunt Jockey, Robert Power gave them all a run for their money and came out the winner over course designer Damian Beevor’s track. 
 
Robert Power’s win came aboard the 13 year old gelding Doonaveeragh O One, by High Roller out of Diamond Lad mare.  Robert also recently won a leg of the Leinster Summer Tour with this horse at Ballivor Horse Show .
 
Robert comes from a family that are well known for their equestrian talents, his father Captain Con Power was a member of the Irish team that dominated the Aga Khan Trophy competition in the late 70’s, while Robert’s sister Elizabeth Power is one of Ireland’s most successful Eventing riders. 
 
Kilkenny’s Vincent Byrne notched up another placing in the league with Hannibal V Oversis Z, Byrne currently tops the table having had a very successful season to date.
 
The Horseware/TRM National Grand Prix League now moves west to Cork Summer Show on Saturday 12th , The fourth leg of the Horseware/TRM Premier Grand Prix  also takes place on Sunday 13th July at Cork Summer Show which also hosts a round of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series.
