TRM Support for Leading Lady Arabian Jockey

TRM is to support leading lady Arabian jockey Anna Wallace, who has started the new season as an Arab horse trainer as well as a jockey.

arabian-jockeyIn 2008, West Sussex-based Anna enjoyed an outstanding season, securing the lady jockey’s title in Arab racing, finishing the season with an impressive four wins and 20 placings from 33 rides. That record also saw her finish in seventh place in racing’s general top rider table, with many of the male riders trailing in her wake and the nearest lady well down the order with just one race win.  For her winning ride on Notid at Hereford, Anna also finished third of 25 nominations for the Riding Performance of the Year award, reflecting her high-profile talent. Anna says, “Working with TRM is a huge step up the ladder for me, as high quality nutritional supplements make all the difference. I find with my horses in training all year, I need to use TRM’s Isopro 2000 electrolyte, particularly as we work and race in the hot weather; I also use Stride, as this helps ‘100%’ with bad or stiff joints.”  “I now also have my own horse to train, the 10-year-old Balerno, who was given to me by trainer Laura Mongan and I am aiming to get ‘off the mark’ as a trainer this season.”

Announcing the sponsorship, TRM Vice President Europe, North America Tom Barrett says, “Anna has already made an emphatic mark in Arab racing and we are delighted to be able to offer nutritional support to the horses she trains and rides. Arab racing has a loyal and growing following and we think Anna has all the credentials to produce another record-breaking season in 2009.”
