TRM Bolesworth Show 2014

2014 marked the progression of Bolesworth International to a CSI three star show, and to anyone who attended it was clear to see why. Bolesworth International, is a fantastic four day show held at the grounds of Bolesworth Castle, thanks to the permission of the Barbour Family and Estate. The magnificent, newly-built amphitheatre arena surrounded by a moat of water and with its Bolesworth Castle backdrop provided a fabulous setting for top-class show jumping. The new Andrew Bowen International surfaceĀ was highly praised by all riders and it’s setting appreciated by all spectators.

TRM were the proud sponsors of the CSI Amateur 1m20 class on the opening day, Thursday 12th July. 31 riders took their chance at the challenging course, but local rider, 17 year old, Carmen Edwards emerged victoriousĀ aboard the homebred Bow House Secret, a Charriol 10-year-old sold to John Daker as a youngster and later bought back. The grey mare has only been with the Edwards a few weeks and hasnā€™t had a fence down in the last four. Carmen and his brother Will had a consistent show, taking three of the four CSI* amateur classes. For Carmen the win in the TRM 1m20 class was his best win to date and he was so proud of his mare, “who turns beautifully against the clock – I don’t have a better horse than her”.
